Please Enjoy the Beach Responsibly!
Chances are, if you are reading the June Grass Update, then you intend to visit the beach. Please use common sense: pick up after yourself, both trash and beach items, enjoy your alcohol, tobacco, and music elsewhere, leave glass containers and pets at home, respect wildlife by observing from a distance, and be aware of your surroundings. Your common sense and courtesy will help those who protect the beaches, through conservation and public safety, to do their jobs more efficiently and safely. Ultimately your thoughtful and courteous behavior will keep the beach a fun and safe place for everybody.
Please do not bring lights to the beach between May 1 and October 31! Please remove beach chairs and tents to help nesting turtles!
Thank you for all your updates. We are leaving for Destin in the morning and just wanted to see if you have any reports on Sterling Shores resort for June grass or any other seaweed issues. Thanks.
