The June Grass Report

This was taken on July 6th at around 2 pm in Destin behind the back porch. Beautiful.
My son did get a jellyfish sting but other that that it was perfect.”

Miramar still very clear today with zero June grass , surf has died down and flags are now yellow.”

Pics on the site are fair game, thanks for asking first. If you want to talk to an algae expert I recommend Dr. Ed Phlips of the University of Florida.

George says: ” 

June Grass still here at Sunrise Beach Resort 3/4 of a mile from Pier Park.  Any reports or June Grass on Destin or Miramar Beaches?”

Jamey reports:

Surf is still rough this morning but water is clear and good! No June Grass!

George reports: “Well the surf has brought in more June grass at Sunrise Beach Resort!  Stay away, it is nasty!  Better early this morning.  Hopefully it will be gone tomorrow or Wednesday.  Will send pics again in the morning.”

Jamey says: “Zero June grass today at Miramar near Grand Dunes. Surf is very rough and they have deployed the red flag for now!”

George reports: “Water is getting better, less June Grass today.  Surf was up last night and helped to push the slim to shore!  Have a happy 4th everyone, and thanks for the updates!”

Jamey reports: “Water is really rough this morning, but appears to be pretty clear. Happy 4th!”
