John says: The water is better today than all of the past week. Very dark almost crimson water for the last several days. Locals said it was because of eastern lake pouring in the gulf. Last week the water was better but still not emerald as I was expecting. Is this normal being next to eastern lake or a dune lake?

I say: yes, normal but I personally avoid swimming in lake outflows.
